The man behind the myths…
Who is Chris Holland?
Who is Chris Holland? This is for you to write, as to me you are my dad whom I love very very much. Happy Birthday Man of Myths, you are destined for great things and always have been. I couldn’t be more proud of the father you have been to me thus far, and couldn’t be more excited to see what kinds of adventures we get up to in the future.

Our Story
The Origins of Spirit Tours
From Local Legends to Living Tradition
Spirit Tours Nelson began in 2004 when Chris Holland and Serene Stewart set out to create a ghost tour rooted in Nelson’s real history and local legends. What started as a sold-out Halloween tram tour quickly grew into a community tradition, fueled by the countless paranormal stories shared by residents and visitors alike. Today, Spirit Tours continues to explore, collect, and share the haunted history of Nelson and the Kootenays through a variety of unique experiences.
Our Vision
Spirit Tours Nelson exists in the space between mystery and history, where speculation meets documented fact. Our brand embraces the unknown while remaining grounded in real events, using historic connections as a bridge into the realm of the paranormal. It is not campy ghost tourism, nor purely traditional heritage storytelling, but a careful balance of both.
Our Mission
Our goal is to explore and share stories that connect local history with unexplained phenomena, while maintaining a respectful approach. We acknowledge that much of the paranormal remains speculative, and we present these stories with care, especially in a small community where real people and families may be connected to the events being discussed. Through curiosity and investigation, we invite audiences to engage with these stories for themselves.
Our Values
We are committed to respectful storytelling, historical integrity, and thoughtful presentation. Our approach follows a natural narrative flow: beginning with mystery to establish intrigue, building curiosity to draw audiences in, and ending with a lasting sense of haunting reflection. This structure is reflected in both our tours and our branding, encouraging engagement while ensuring stories remain memorable long after they are told.
